The National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) has established an industrial collaboration with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill University. The University was incorporated by the Legislature of Sikkim through Official Gazette Notification No. 251 and recognized under Sikkim Act No. 13 of 2025. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is authorized to offer higher education programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The University is listed among the approved universities recognized by the UGC and is also acknowledged by the Association of Indian Universities and the All India Council for Technical Education.
